The Maori tribe, are the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand (Aotearoa). The Maori developed a unique culture with their own language, a rich mythology, distinctive crafts and performing arts. The typical design of Maori people is the tribal tattoo, which those have a history for them. When we look back at the ancient Maoris, there may be no other culture with as much symbolic history toward tattooing. For the Maori culture tattooing was a very important process that involved men and women in the tribe.
